The foundation of a thriving world lies in embracing change, compassion & love!
I grew up in a family of nearly fifty in Mumbai - India, a childhood rich with love, shared histories, and vivid memories of grandparents, grand-aunts & uncles, uncles, aunts, siblings, and cousins. I wouldnβt trade that experience for anything.
As we move toward smaller, nuclear families, the impact of generational trauma becomes more pronounced, sometimes overwhelming. Understanding it has given me deeper insight into the people I love, helping me navigate both the beauty and the complexity of a large family. It has shaped how I show up, how I cope, and how I hold space for both its functions and its dysfunctions.
Understanding generational trauma has been central to my mental fitness. It has helped me recognize inherited patterns, respond with awareness rather than instinct, and build healthier ways of relating, to myself and to others. Itβs less about fixing the past and more about learning how to carry it with clarity, compassion, and intention.
